Overview

Steven is a seasoned complex commercial litigator dedicated to representing companies and individuals in high-stakes disputes in state and federal courts, focusing primarily on cases involving fraud, First Amendment issues, breach of contract, partnership disputes, and construction litigation. Steven delivers aggressive and results-oriented advocacy to protect his clients’ interests and achieve decisive results.

Steven serves clients in multiple states, including Oklahoma, Arizona, Wisconsin, and others. Steven also maintains a significant presence in West Texas, where he grew up and developed a deep understanding of the region’s unique business and legal landscape. Licensed in all Texas and Arizona state courts, as well as the corresponding federal courts, he brings broad jurisdictional reach and courtroom experience to every matter.

Served as lead counsel and obtained a $2,300,000 judgment in his client’s favor against a company and its owner for fraud, and prevailed against the defendants’ attempts to vacate the judgment.

Served as lead counsel where he secured a temporary injunction, and negotiated a permanent injunction, against a defendant involving claims for social media related defamation and violations of Texas’ unlawful disclosure of intimate visual material statute.

Successfully argued and prevailed against a defendant’s anti-SLAPP motion to dismiss in a case concerning defamatory posts made on social media by a prominent influencer.

Obtained complete dismissal of criminal and civil causes of action asserted against his client, a CEO of a construction company.

Served as lead counsel, obtained a judgment in his client’s favor for fraud, and subsequently negotiated a private agreement between the parties whereby the defendant agreed to pay, and did pay, an amount in excess of the judgment to allow the client to recover all amounts owed, plus attorneys’ fees, interest, and additional amounts.

Represented two oil and gas company defendants and negotiated a favorable settlement for an amount less than 5% of the amount plaintiff was seeking at trial.

While at Texas Tech, Steven was selected for the exclusive Congressional Internship Program where he served as a legislative intern for Senator Ted Cruz in Washington, D.C.
