Overview

Justin Masoner is a litigation lawyer who brings an extensive understanding of the property tax code in focusing on property tax litigation cases.

He has a passion for working with property owners and taxpayers and handles the entire property tax appeal process from intake to petition drafting, the discovery process, and settlement negotiations to settlement finalization. Justin also assists with general litigation matters at Scheef & Stone.

Experience

Prior to joining Scheef & Stone Justin practiced with Brusniak Turner Fine LLP in Dallas, Texas with a focus on property tax litigation.

Justin graduated with his Juris Doctorate from The University of Texas School of Law. While in law school, Justin gained legal experience working on business, contract and shareholder disputes. He also was a member of the Texas Business Law Society and an editor for two law school journals: Texas Journal of Oil, Gas, and Energy Law; and Texas International Law Journal.

He graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Oklahoma State University, where he served as president of the pre-law fraternity, Phi Alpha Delta. Justin also served as a legal intern for the Oklahoma Office of the Governor while earning his undergraduate degree.
