Overview
Caroline Brown is an associate attorney in Scheef & Stone’s Dallas office. She focuses her practice on all aspects of intellectual property law, combining her background in chemical biosciences with her legal training to help clients protect and enforce their innovations. Her work encompasses intellectual property litigation, patent, copyright, and trademark prosecution.
She is passionate about the intersection of science and law and brings both analytical precision and creativity to her practice.
Experience
Caroline graduated cum laude from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law in 2025. During law school, she served as Chief of the Civil & Consumer Clinic, was an Articles Editor for the SMU Science and Technology Law Review, and held leadership roles as President of the Intellectual Property Organization, a Tsai Center for Law, Science & Innovation Scholar, and an On-Campus Director of the Board of Advocates. Caroline gained valuable experience through an externship with a judge on the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas and an internship with the 442nd Judicial District Court of Texas, as well as through summer clerkships with Dallas law firms, including Scheef & Stone in 2024. She was also a member of the Phi Delta Phi Legal Honor Society and competed in the 2024 Sal Lefkowitz Moot Court Competition.
