Overview

Austin Hatton is an Associate in Scheef & Stone’s litigation section. His practice primarily involves complex commercial and civil litigation matters. He handles a wide variety of commercial litigation, including real estate and construction disputes. Austin is an experienced litigator with a background in representing healthcare providers in medical malpractice claims across Texas. Known for his strategic approach and pragmatic approach to resolution, Austin delivers effective solutions to his clientele that is comprised of corporate entities and individuals alike.

Austin is experienced in all phases of litigation, including initial case evaluation and game-planning, motion practice, written discovery, deposition, and court appearance. He is committed to providing clients with proactive counsel, responsive communication, and results-driven advocacy.

Experience

Prior to becoming an Associate at Scheef & Stone, Austin spent years in defense of healthcare providers against medical malpractice and healthcare liability claims. He has represented physicians, nurses, and hospital systems across Texas in both lawsuits and formal complaints before the Texas Medical and Nursing Boards. Further, his previous practice includes representing entities in catastrophic personal injury and premises liability suits. Austin has a strong record of success in motion practice and has argued numerous dispositive motions and objections before Texas courts.
