Scheef & Stone, LLP is pleased to share that Partner Kate Valent attended the Mackrell International Women’s Group Meeting held March 19–20, 2026, in San Jose, California.
Hosted by Hoge Fenton Jones & Appel, Inc., the Americas meeting brought together women lawyers and business professionals from across the Mackrell International network. Set in Silicon Valley, the program featured a wide range of discussions, including leadership, evolving career paths, and the changing expectations of the legal profession, with particular focus on developments such as artificial intelligence and increased scrutiny within the courts.
In addition to the formal agenda, the meeting provided opportunities for meaningful connection among attendees, with conversations continuing throughout the event and reinforcing the collaborative nature of the network.
The gathering followed International Women’s Day on March 8 and took place during Women’s History Month, underscoring the importance of recognizing and supporting the contributions of women across the legal profession.
Scheef & Stone is proud to be a member of Mackrell International and to support initiatives like the MI Women’s Group, which create space for connection, professional development, and shared leadership among women across jurisdictions.
The firm extends its thanks to Hoge Fenton Jones & Appel, Inc., and to the organizers and speakers whose contributions made the event a success.
