Prior to joining Scheef & Stone, Steven was an Associate Attorney at Ben Martin Law Group (formerly Marting Baughman), where he transitioned from a Law Clerk and managed a caseload of more than sixty cases. At Ben Martin Law Group, Steven gained substantial deposition and trial experience. He has litigated cases in both state and federal courts and has filed lawsuits in more than twenty states.

Steven is fluent in Spanish and is a member of the following professional organizations:

Steven earned his Juris Doctorate from Baylor Law School, where he was a member of the Hispanic American Law Student Association and the Texas Exes Society (formerly Longhorn Bar Association). He received his Bachelor of Arts in Government with a Minor in History from the University of Texas at Austin.
