Katherine focuses her practice on ERISA, corporate, and labor and employment matters. Her business background and experience as a transactional attorney provides clients with insightful and efficient counsel on a broad range of needs. She works with clients on 401(k) plans and other retirement plans, as well as tax issues involving health plans, Section 125 cafeteria plans and Section 409A deferred compensation plans. Katherine helps clients fix broken plans and work through audits by the Internal Revenue Service and Department of Labor. Katherine has worked on all aspects of acquisitions, including drafting and negotiating a variety of transaction documents and conducting background due diligence. She has extensive experience in complex entity formations and in contract drafting and negotiations. She is also skilled at counseling employers on a variety of human resource matters, such as employment agreements, handbooks, company policies and actions, employee complaints, and compliance with federal and state employment laws.


Katherine graduated with her Juris Doctorate from SMU Dedman School of Law.  She received her Bachelor of Business Administration from Texas A&M University with a degree in Management.
