David Brezik
Overview
David Brezik handles a diverse array of high-stakes litigation matters for clients nationwide at both the state and federal level. David executes all aspects of litigation from a pragmatic approach, including depositions, hearings, mediation, trials, and appeals. As a passionate advocate for his clients’ interests, he has obtained numerous early dismissals, dispositive motion awards, and favorable verdicts at trial. Additionally, David has successfully negotiated numerous favorable settlements for his clients.
David represents corporate entities as well as corporate officers and directors in matters involving complex business disputes, including:
- Breach of contract and breach of warranty
- Breach of fiduciary duty
- Non-competition and non-solicitation disputes
- Unfair competition and trade secret disputes/li>
- Defamation, tortious interference with contract, and fraud
- Deceptive trade practices
- Other business-related torts in both state and federal courts
David’s practice also includes representing employers in a variety of labor and employment disputes before the United States Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Texas Workforce Commission, Department of Labor, and state and federal courts. He has advocated for his clients involving claims brought under:
- Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964
- Fair Labor Standards Act
- American with Disabilities Act of 1990
- Family and Medical Leave Act
- Age Discrimination in Employment Act of 1967
- Chapter 21 and 451 of the Texas Labor Code
- Other employment-related torts
In addition to business and employment disputes, David handles real estate litigation and landlord/tenant matters, and he represents community associations in disputes concerning the interpretation and enforcement of restrictive covenants and other association documents. He also represents national and multinational developers and construction firms in cases involving construction defect, contract disputes and warranty issues. Additionally, David represents clients across the nation in cases involving products liability, environmental torts and premises liability.
