Andrea K. Bouressa is an associate attorney practicing in Scheef & Stone, L.L.P.’s Frisco office where she works on a broad range of commercial litigation matters. Her experience includes insurance defense, premises liability, employment claims, product liability, and other civil disputes. Before entering private practice, Ms. Bouressa clerked for U.S. Senator John Cornyn’s legal counsel for the Senate Judiciary Committee.
Defended national insurance providers in first-party coverage disputes with policyholders;
Represented insurance, real estate, and financial industry professionals in third-party claims of breach of fiduciary duty, misrepresentation and fraud;
Defended appeal from summary judgment in premises liability suit arising from personal injury at sports and events center;
Defended employers from lawsuits brought by employees alleging discrimination and/or retaliation;
Represented an injured employee in fraudulent transfer claims against former employer who failed to maintain workers’ compensation insurance, including defense of underlying personal injury judgment on appeal to the Texas Supreme Court.
